Dr. Chinn completed her clinical doctorate through the University of Florida, Gainesville in May 2001. Balanced Ear was opened in June 2001 and moved from the Lowell location to 1501 SE Walton Blvd., Suite 119 with the Grand Opening on April 30, 2003 to coincide with the opening of the new Northwest Medical Center for Benton County. Our mission is to provide accurate test data for hearing impaired patients and the most appropriate amplification ( HEARING AIDS )for that patient. We also carry custom hearing protection devices, electronic protectin devices, Musicians earplugs,and swim plugs. Further, we will provide accurate diagnostic data to area physicians about their hearing impaired and vertiginous patients. Dr. Chinn has worked in Northwest Arkansas as a dispensing audiologist for the past Six years. She took a year off to work on her Ph.D. and teach at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She worked as a diagnostic audiologist at the Shea Ear Clinic in Memphis for 9 years after receiving her Master of Arts in Audiology from the University of Memphis. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, Academy of Dispensing Audiologists, American Auditory Society, American Speech Language and Hearing Assoc., Arkansas Speech Language and Hearing Assoc., Vestibular Disorders Assoc., and is an ACE and AAA Scholar.
Balanced Ear received the Excellence Award from the Multi-Disciplinary Academy of Applied Medical Arts (MAAMA)in 2003. The Excellence Award is given to practices which uphold the highest standards in diagnostics, reports, insurance billing, Medicare and Medicaid, and HIPAA compliance.
Dr. Chinn is serving on the MAAMA board as audiology advisor for 2004.
